Signs spirits use to communicate.

As a psychic medium, I am continually amazed by the way spirit communicates. I have found spirits incredibly resourceful in getting their message to a loved one on Earth. During a mediumship reading, spirits often make reference to the physical and emotional characteristics that defined them during their life on Earth. As a medium, I am merely a conduit for spirit to communicate their message to you.
In order to make sense out of what I receive, I have developed a communication system of symbols which spirit uses to convey their messages. For example, I am shown outstretched callused hands, which is my symbol for a blue-collar worker. I may see them waving an American flag, which is my symbol for military service, and, furthermore, boots indicating the Army, a ship for the Navy, a plane for the Air Force, and my husband's face for the Marines! I am shown a black spot over the part of the body which caused their death, or I may feel a pain or tingling in the area of their suffering. If my feet feel numb, I know the spirit had a mobility problem while on earth.
I've also come to learn that loved ones who have crossed over like to mention objects you have inherited from them: pocket watches, crosses, rings, jackets, and portraits. One spirit I recently channeled, expressed apology for his packrat-style, crowded garage which was left for his children to clean. I had one Italian grandfather in spirit show me the oak barrels in his basement for winemaking.....cheers, grandfather! One of my favorite signs is when a spirit (usually a mother or grandmother) holds up a big wooden spoon. That's my sign for a love of cooking! Lately I've been doing the bulk of my mediumship readings in the predominantly Sicilian town of Middletown, Connecticut. Many Sicilian & Italian grandmothers and mothers have made note of the recipes their families on Earth continue to make in their honor: Christmas cookies, ricotta pie at Easter, big pots of homemade sauce, and even "rice balls." I have heard proudly, "She is making my recipes!" While on Earth, these spirits showed their love to their families through their cooking, and so they wish to acknowledge how their love is being passed down through the generations. I have had spirits show me their favorite TV shows, their bad habits (smoking and drinking), their bald spots, chubby tummies, less-than-stellar teeth, and swollen ankles!
Spirits never lose their sense of humor and never lose the love they have for us here on Earth! The sense of love they impress upon me for the person I am reading is unmistakable; in fact, their emotion often overtakes me, and I feel the urge to give my client a big hug! If there is one message I can convey to you, I would want you to know that your loved one in Heaven continues to notice your daily life, your celebrations, triumphs, and struggles. So talk to them--they still hear you, and be reassured that their love for you transcends physical death. Love is eternal!

“Bye For Now”
Hello, I am Julie, Tracy’s cousin, and co-blogger. I am also a fourth generation psychic medium, and empath with telepathic abilities. Like Tracy, I am blessed with the gift of sight and intuition. My abilities are best channeled through dream and meditative states. For me encountering spirit energy is a different sensation and experience each time. Specific smells are associated to each spirit of a loved one I encounter. I see flecks of light and movement from the corner of my eye, experience chills, buzzing sensations, and heightened senses. I can feel spirits emotions for loved ones still here on our Earthly Plane.
I am a mother of two beautiful children, and my daughter is a fifth generation psychic medium and empath, with heightened intuition. Having my daughter has helped me to improve my intuitive abilities. I look forward to future discussions of this beautiful craft and gift. For now I will focus on the development of my abilities from the help if my grandmother, Florence’s oldest daughter; Mary, who is know as Mom, Gram, Great-Grammy, Auntie “E”, Eileen, and “E”.
Gram and I have always been connected, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I never fully understood the power of our family’s gift of sight and intuition until she crossed the rainbow bridge into Heaven at the end of last year. I imagine she entered Heaven the same way she left our Earthly plane, on her own terms, and greeted by many loved ones.
I have been visited by family members who have crossed over a number of times, but my gram gave me a look into what we are living here for, a small glimpse into their parallel dimension. I saw a beautiful kitchen, could hear familiar voices, and feel an abundant amount of love and happiness. I was able to see how beautiful Heaven is, and given reassurance that we will all be together again. The first visit to our family’s future together was peaceful and allowed me to see that my Gram still has many lessons in store for me.
The early morning of November 26, 2016 my Gram put on her pretty dress and dancing shoes to finally finish a dance she waited almost 50 years to finish with her Sweetheart, my grandfather. Later on the evening of her passing she came to me to let me know that she was happy, and so very proud of the woman I have become. This visit just like so many others ended with “Bye For Now.” I am truly blessed with the gift of sight, and know that she is never far. I know all I need to do is call upon her and she will come and each visit will end like so many others.
Bye For Now,

Welcome to my first blog! I'm so excited to begin! Today is a significant day for my first blog since it's my great-grandmother, Florence's birthday. She was a psychic medium, and I've learned that both her mother and her grandmother in Ireland (my great-great and great-great-great grandmothers) were psychic mediums as well! Her gift was passed to multiple family members, and so I honor her today to celebrate not only her birthday, but also the gift of intuition that is interwoven throughout our family.
Florence was born in 1895 and nearly took the Titanic from Ireland to America in 1912 at the age of 17. She stood in line with her two sisters to undergo a physical examination before boarding the ship. The ship physician noticed her thumb was infected and denied her entry to the ship. He told her she had blood poisoning which needed to clear, and that her boarding pass could be used to take the sister ship of the Titanic in future weeks. Florence's sisters chose not to board the Titanic in order to remain together to voyage several weeks later to America. Her thumb was cured with the use of leeches which sucked the blood from the infected tissue. Her thumb remained blue in color all her life--a constant reminder to the reason our entire family exists today.
To understand what it was like to be a psychic medium for my great-grandmother, we must understand Northern Ireland at the turn of the century. Death was a common occurrence. Decades earlier, the Great Famine occurred when one million Irish died of starvation due to the loss of the potato crop due to blight. As a child, my great-grandmother lived with the violence of the war between the Protestant and the Catholics. She recounted the macabre scenario of playing "King of the Hill" atop piles of human bones behind her church in town. The war between the religions made it unsafe to attend church regularly for fear of violence. I believe this helped to foster my great-grandmother's mediumship, as the rigidity of religious dogma did not impair her intuition.
Irish culture is vibrant with tales of fairies, gnomes, and leprechauns--"wee people" as they were affectionately called. The Irish openly embraced the hidden world of nature spirits. Great-Grandma recounted as a child she played and communicated with nature spirits and was told by spirit that she had "the gift of sight," and that this gift would be passed to her family members. One may think this is a colorful Irish tall tale, but her prophecy did come true! Throughout my great-grandmother's life, she was able to foresee events. She had an innate sense of knowing someone needed help, often running out of her farmhouse to the rescue of family members. She "knew" her granddaughter fell from the barn rafters and ran to her. She "knew" her grandson had a farm equipment injury and ran to him. Her husband died tragically and she saw his spirit often in the farmhouse.
Her ability was kept within the confines of her family. It wasn't socially acceptable to talk of intuition and spirit communication in America during her lifetime. I can relate to how she felt. It is difficult to hide who you truly are. Having the ability to see and sense spirit is not something you can "undo" or pretend not to notice. For me, sensing spirit is a distinct sensation each time. I feel a warm, buzzing, static energy accompanied by thoughts and visions that are not my own. In my mind, I hear spirit's words, I see what they show me, and I feel the emotions they have for their loved one on Earth. It is my hope and prayer that I may continue to convey to others the power of our intuition. Each of us is intuitive and each of us can connect to spirit. It is all a matter of being open and aware. Ultimately, our loved ones in spirit never leave us and are aware of our struggles and joys on Earth. They live in a parallel dimension that is accessible to us when we quiet our minds and open our awareness. I look forward to future discussions on all things spiritual. I will be featuring my co-blogger and psychic medium cousin soon. Happy birthday to my great-grandma in Heaven and to all of you, I wish you many blessings!
